The entire building is designed primarily based on the economic sustainability of its operation, the needs of the investor, the orientation to the world and the size of the planned spaces according to their importance. When putting these elements together, we additionally fine-tuned some details so that the house also has an aesthetic quality.
The shape of the public swimming pool is significantly influenced by its location specifics, so that this new element becomes an inherent part of the place. Above all, this influence manifests itself in a generous opening of the pool area to the south, and on the other hand in a closing on the north façade with the exception of local openings, such as a cooling terrace protruding from the spa area, from which you can observe exceptional curves of the Bohemian Central Mountains. This solution is accented by a distinct inclination of the roof corresponding to the slope of the local terrain and a tapered northern façade allowing the required greater ground clearance in the pool area and conversely, a lower ground clearance in the northern tract, where you can find rather smaller areas of spa, showers and children's pool.
The south glass façade will allow maximum heat gain and, in addition, a suitable contact with the surroundings. Stretching the roof over the glass façade is not only for aesthetic reasons, but also protects against overheating in summer and maximises the beneficial sunlight in winter.
