Proposed building concepts should be based on the site itself. It is not a matter of blind nostalgic reverence, but a realisation that a particular place has been shaped in this way for centuries for a reason, and our current ill-considered intervention may destroy the qualities that have persisted for centuries.

For any project, therefore, it is necessary to properly understand the local context, its historical development and its relationships; to find those qualities that need to be protected and to base the proposed concept on them.

Several concepts have been developed for the landscape intervention between the housing area and the industrial area. However, only after viewing the physical model depicting the ruggedness of the terrain did we realise the beauty of the naturally sculpted ravine. Our proposed intervention was nothing more than to reinforce the bottom of the ravine shaped by the hills, and to construct a stair tower with a footbridge at the dead end of the path, allowing the path to continue in the treetops.
